Backyard Vineyard Wedding Full of Details

I knew I liked Bryn about 2.5 seconds after meeting her. We were meant to be friends. She's an artist and a lover of red wine. She's also hilarious, usually when you least expect it.

I've known Oliver for years. He went to college with my husband; they were in the same fraternity. However, I didn't actually get to know Oliver until Bryn. Oliver (the quiet, thoughtful engineer) is also an amazing friend, significantly quirkier than I imagined, he's From New Zealand (how did I not know that?!?), he's a pretty good singer, and he's a truly romantic guy.

Bryn & Oliver are both awesome individuals, but together they're kind of magic.  If I had to describe them, I'd say they're a combination of classic elegance, mixed with a fit of giggles. They're heading out for their honeymoon in a quick minute, so here's a peek at their awesome day, before they fly off to their next adventure.

Congrats Bryn & Oliver!

LOVE this dress!

Singing love songs = WIN (Bonus points if you have a good singing voice, like Oliver does.)

All day long, I tell people how to pose in photos. Clearly, I'm protective of the "Neck Stretch" - it's officially my signature look. :)

Oregon Coast Elopement: Patricia & Vincent

Lighthouse Elopement?  AND I get to sign the marriage license!?! Count Me IN! Thank you, Sara Gray Photography, for inviting me to tag along!  :)

This was my first elopement ceremony, but I hope that there will be many many more in the future. I LOVED this wedding!  Obviously, this was an intimate ceremony. There were five of us, which is about as small as a wedding can get and still be official.  :)

Vincent & Patricia both love lighthouses, so Cape Disappointment was both beautiful AND a perfect setting for their ceremony.

When I arrived at Cape Disappointment, I wasn't sure what to expect.  The wind was strong enough to knock me over, and I just couldn't picture a woman in a white dress enjoying the craziness that was the Pacific Northwest weather that day. Fortunately, Patricia had more sense than that and arrived picture perfect and ready for the windy reality of the coast.  Don't you just love her hat & scarf!?!

Although I loved pretty much everything about this ceremony (DEFINITELY a little eyeball leakage during their vows) - the thing that I loved most about this experience was how pure it was. The entire focus of Patricia & Vincent's wedding day was their love for each other.

Congratulations Patricia & Vincent!

Caution: Photographers at Play

I'm a member of a local photographers' group - the Click Chicks. It's great to have a group of colleagues and friends who share your passion. Usually when we all get together, we talk business. Translation: awesome networking, awesome peer resource, super awesome people. I would probably still need a day job if it weren't for all of the wisdom I've gained from these women. Now, I'm not saying they've given me all the answers. But, they've shown me where to look for them. And that's a huge step in the right direction for someone like me.

Sometimes, Click Chick meetings happen outside and include cameras. This year, we had some great couples, a few very stylish high school seniors, and a fantastic makeup artist - Beautiful Skin by Mimi - join us in the fun.  Results & action shots below. :)

Yay! Alese likes frogs too!  :)

Bridal Portraits.  Gorgeous.
